One of Alan Shearer's most famous features is his goal celebration technique. Needless to say, it has been on display more than once since his first professional goal back in 1987. As a man known for his "no nonsense" approach to the game and life in general, his goal celebrations were no different.

You will never wonder how to celebrate ever again. We recommend using this celebration technique in footballing circumstances but also to celebrate Birthdays, New Year's Eve, positive exam results, winning a bet etc... anything you might think of.

So how does he do it? follow this guide:

STEP 1 - Score

STEP  2 - Hand up

STEP 3 - Make a stand

You have to score. If the ball goes wide or is saved, a celebration would be highly inappropriate.

So make sure that ball goes in the back of the net... literally or metaphorically.

Once you have scored don't go doing triple, or even quadruple jumps, simply get that right arm up (as shown above) and run away from the scene not letting anyone else get in your way.

Showing the palm of your hand or just one finger are both acceptable.

It's all about the crowd, so once you have covered enough distance, stop. Stand straight and raise both hands in the air as a sign of achievement and pride.

Now is the time to be congratulated by others.
